Grand Cove became home for Chris and I almost 3 years ago having downsized from our home in Southampton.  We soon discovered the close knit community we had joined and the friendliness so many fellow home owners offered. 

Having been nominated to run for Vice President of the GCHOA, and consequently taking a deeper look at the needs of our membership here in the Cove, I’ve become more aware of the importance  that we have a strong voice when dealing with Capreit ….not only, that, but a rational view of differences of opinion when they occur within the HOA itself.

I come from a financial services career where negotiating skills were crucial…I believe this might add to my contribution in the HOA team.  We already have some strong advocates here and I think, going forward, more solidarity would be beneficial….I would like to support and be part of that team.

This is our home, we need to feel happy, not frustrated so, whoever becomes your next Vice President, we need to show support for the entire team. 

Thanks for your support thus far…..enjoy the rest of our summer outside and, soon the reopening of our clubhouse .

  i Dave, I wonder if you would send out an email to your HOA members.  I got a call from Sobey's last week asking if I could come and work for them.  I worked for Sobey's for 2.5 years.  I am currently not looking for work, but I told Janice the office manager, that I would put the word out in the Cove: Sobey's is looking for an employee to water the plants in their seasonal garden centre. This a part-time, temporary position for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.   Sobeys is also looking for mature cashiers and people with deli-like experience.   Notice of Nominations for Board of Directors Inbox President GCHOA 3:33 PM (1 hour ago) to bcc:  me The Nominations of new Board of Directors is going to start as of Friday May 6 2022 and will  end on Friday May 27 2022 at 5pm The positions of President, Secretary, Ombudsman and Clubhouse Director are up for Election this year. Nominees for election to the Board of Directors must maintain their principal residents in Grand Cove. Nominees also agree to fulfill the duties of their respective position as per the Terms of Reference.  Eligibility: Voting members of the Homeowners Corporation in good standing, may stand for election to the Board of Directors or any office of the Corporation.
